  1. Many of those protesting against the Cuban government's suppression has been met by condemnations, verbal abuse, and physical confrontation by Cuban residents supportive of the Cuban government. How one becomes so brainwashed is a riddle. Cuba's economic policy, prohibition of starting up businesses in the private sector, and way of maintaining a tight grip on all parts of the market by planning the economy, is indefensible and has resulted in mass poverty for the country. People are forced to "commit crimes" by selling/buying stuff in the 'abominable' private sector, just to survive. Any reasonable and educated person would oppose Cuba's way of conducting politics.
