  1. That's a classic brainwashed lie. Socialist states fails and falls into decay due to the corruption, poor leadership and counterproductive ideology that governs the country. An ideology that stifles innovation, prevents growth, scares away corporations, limits foreign/domestic trade, sets fixed prices instead of letting the market naturally decide, and discourages foreign investors. Venezuela would be a hellhole even if the civilized world didn't try to help the Venezuelan people.
