It's not unscientific nor ineffective to use sterilization practises to remove hereditary disabilities and unhealthy traits in order to create a healthtier gene pool without widespread issues. You can questions its practicality and morality, but to state that all forms of eugenics per definition being "pseudo-scientific" isn't correct. Targeting people on slightly arbitrary grounds such as using misleading IQ scores, may be deemed as unscientific, but that's not solely what we are discussing here.

  4. Look at the mental illnesses flourishing in the world. A staggering exponential rate is at full display. Would full-blown eugenic policies be compatible and able to be implemented to counter that? Hard to say. But there's policies that could at least disincentivize people with hereditary malfunctions, mental illnesses, drug addiction, and criminals from procreating. I'm sure there wouldn't be any real opposition to that if you remove the slandered terminology and its connotations used to describe the practise.
