  1. Edward shouldn't have leaked every US intelligence secret in a way that damaged our interests and national security. Leaking the surveillance methodology, data collection, and governmental spying wasn't great either, since it has caused paranoia of our government and decreased support for policies that tracks and examines national security threats. I used to be in favor of possibly handing out a pardon to Snowden, but it's debatable whether we should do so. Should we promote what he did? Violating NDAs and security clauses? Indirectly cooperating with foreign powers? hmm...

  2. The ruling by this appeals' court has very little significance, it's not likely the government admitted anything nor a SCOTUS ruling. The reactions has been a bit hyperbolic surrounding this mostly irrelevant ruling. Snowden leaked way too many secrets and has shattered the US national security by decreasing support for the measures needed to prevent terror/criminality.
