  30. @pratap ray No I am clear on this, as far as I am concerned there is no god. I am talking about cancer and all the other child hood diseases because in order to believe in a creator you must accept those horrific illness are part of his plan/ creation. The sad fact is, is that life on earth evolved and everything lives at the expense of everything else. At the top of the food chain like sharks, tigers and men, we can still get genetic diseases like cancer or infectious diseases like COVID19 that has wiped out over half a million people in just 6 months. I did not reject the Bible/god because of suffering, I rejected it after finding inconsistencies and contradictions. If I had not found those things I would have a hard time praying for a cure for cancer whilst watching people die of it.

They should be, I would wipe out an army with my bare hands to save my kid or die trying. We feel this way about ourselves and our families because of our selfish genes. Evolution. We have solid evidence on why that is the case.

I understand cancer very well it was part of a module called the Cellular basis of Disease which was part of my applied Biology degree. That was a while ago now but I have remembered a lot of it.

It's personal speculation based on a religious world view which is the exact opposite of how the scientific method works. If you really have an idea on how it all began the read the literature and build a model that fits the data. That's how science works and progresses, keep thinking 'dentist.'

You just want to say, 'therefore god,' which is incredibly lazy when you think about it. Scientists roll their sleeves up and try and build theories, look at the evidence, test the models and see what fits.

Not long ago peoples thought the sun coming up and the stars passage must be controlled by god's and angels. Where did mountains come from? How does the tide go in and out? ALL explained now by the scientific method and we take it for granted. The expansion of the universe is being figured out right now, the precise rate, of the entire universe! Life on earth evolved and that's a fact, we evolved from ancestral primates, fact. If you want to believe that between all of that 14 billion year process requires no god but he stepped in 3.8 billion years ago then show me the evidence for that.

  48.  @rodt9779  No I am not saying that, I HAVE studied the evidence because I had to for my degree in order to pass my exams. I was a scientific officer at my first job after university and I worked in labs from 1990-2007. Evidence and the Scientific method WAS my job! The evidence is clear and the 20,000 peer reviewed published papers on the subject that you seem to be ignoring support it. THAT is the evidence.
