  1. That first session was incredible, the detective just talked non stop for an hour and seven minutes with hardly any breaks, basically just saying the same few things over and over. Almost like torture, breaking him down like JCS mentioned. I think he started talking just so he would stop.

She admitted the child died in her care She googled suffocation prior She did not show any normal behaviour following the death of a child. She went out partying and wrote she was happy in her journal. She disposed of the body The body was found with duct tape on the body. I am ignoring all the other fabrications. When does circumstantial evidence become evidence? This is just as an unqualified (law) interested observer. I have served n a jury once in the UK. Not a murder case.

  3. These analyses are brilliant, I feel guilty that I enjoy the technical aspects and forget or at least minimise the fact there is a tragic death of an innocent always involved. I kind of put it to one side, like it's done. EDIT. OK this one is different, this has the smell of the 1960s Moors Murders in Manchester. Hindley and Brady. She lures the kid then he does what he did. Horrific.

  4.  @lefu87williford55  The bottom line is she did what she did. Were they great parents? Probably not, did they deserve what they got? No. Did they abuse her? That's a tricky question, we don't know those details. Still did not justify her actions. I would not to have to have walked in her shoes though, let's put it like that.

'Right decision' 'Happiest I have been' entry in diary. You have to pair that behaviour with the accidental death of a child. All those facts versus her abuse story which has no evidence whatsoever besides testimony. A story, perhaps the parents last ditch attempt to save their child's life?

  9.  @lefu87williford55  Whatever injuries he was left with, he had the thought in his head that his daughter paid people to kill his wife and try to kill him. I cannot imagine what that would feel like. I think me and son are pretty good!

Remember the options, stay, ditch the boyfriend, go back to school but be provided for OR go and be free but you are cut off. Plenty of kids have worse options than that and manage not to arrange to have the parents murdered. So, although I don't think that sort of parenting is ok, she deserved to go down for the term she got. Don't forget she wasn't a kid, she could have said screw you, I'll get a job pay my own way and see who I want. She would have had half the estate presumably if both had died and the cops would have bought it. A big pay out, no work, no school and a free woman.

  23.  @Lepidopray  Yeah rang mum for a chat and she didn't answer, I kept ringing till I got round there, rang my sister who also sent a neighbour. Issue with the phone line. She is 79. If you really are worried you get more and more frantic to the point of almost hysterical if you think they are in serious danger.

  25. Biggest detail for me? The kid drowned accidentally and she dumped the body in a swamp. Why did wrap the child's head in duct tape? Your kid drowns accidentally you call 911 immediately. Just in case there is that one in million chance they can bring back that child back. What you don't do is wrap duct tape over the nose and mouth and dump it in the swamp. That combined with the suffocation Google searches the night before, then partying for 31 days after, writing how happy you are in your journal and getting a nice 'life is beautiful' tattoo. She was assessed to be sane by experts, she knew what she was doing. She killed the kid, dumped the body made up a story, got caught then got off with it. That's pretty much it.

  26.  @GeoNeilUK  Male/female has nothing to do with this. She killed the guy then lied, made up nonsense stories, smeared the deceased name and was found guilty. Most of JCS cases the men are the purps, one raped and killed a child, a monster. In fact he was aided by a woman, both monsters. I really do not think the sex of the purp comes into it, just the nature and details of the crime and the way the interviews go. It is the analysis that make these interesting.

I think people in general tell lies to get themselves out of a situation and make themselves look better. Especially when cornered by law enforcement.

If those accounts came from the same person in sequence then one or all of them has to be a lie. Did you even watch the video? “ You are lying to get yourself out the situation” What situation? I am in no situation, I commenting on a murder case on a you tube video and you should consider your remarks before calling someone you have never met a liar. “of having argued against #MeToo and make yourself look better” I request you do not tell me what it is I am doing or thinking, only I know that not you and I have been commenting on this case nothing else.

  39. @c&f We don't know what was said or how the house hold really worked. The son said that the father could not be spoken to or reasoned with. This argument seems to have two camps but this should be about the same thing. She arranged to have them killed bottom line so had to go to prison. The 'authoritarian' description of her father is not a home I would want to have been brought up in. Just how bad was it? We don't know. One thing though, she was certainly not the shrinking violet or little girl a few posters have suggested. She was able to lie to her parents for years and had a drug dealer boyfriend. The falsified documentation from school and fake high school diploma. Then she knew where to go and who to speak to in order to arrange a hit. Would you have known how to fake your school report? A forged high school diploma? Hire a hit man? Her parents either created a monster or gave birth to one Probably a bit of both.

  40.  @tedlambert12  I don't know how the law works just some basics. I have been on jury service once and they said a guilty verdict has be beyond reasonable doubt via the facts of the case. The facts here, she admitted to dumping the body. If your child drowns you call an ambulance immediately. Even if the child is dead a mother in desperation calls 911 with a glimmer of hope? She didn't do that, she dumped her in a swamp. A distraught mother would then do what? Go partying? Write in her journal that she was happy? All the rest was a red herring so she would not get caught, the fabrication regarding the nanny and work colleagues. When did the accidentally drowning story arise? After two years? Apologies I have forgotten some details. She was in charge of that child who subsequently died and she got rid of the body. Two options, it was an accident or she killed her. I have no doubt she killed that kid.

The facts are the child died in her care and she then disposed of the body. She then went out partying, wrote she was happy in her journal. She is asking us the accept that is how a distraught mother would behave. She googled suffocation and the recovered body had duct tape on the head? (I will watch it again, I can't remember all the details) I do not accept her story the child died via accident. It is about plausibility and nothing in her story adds up. What I don't know is if the jury were privy to details that JCS provided. Perhaps not all those details were presented as evidence? Admissible?
