Newton's laws, Maxwell's equations provide a picture of what is happening to objects or fields in nature. Quantum Mechanics does not provide a picture at all. That is the difference.

@Calidastas LOL! Wavefunction tells you absolutely nothing about what's happening before you measure the object that is the reason there are like 8 different interpretations of quantum mechanics. The wavefunction is a mathematical object that is complex and lives in Hilbert Space,...tell me how that maps to a picture of reality. You are clueless! That is the whole point of Schrodingers Cat, Wigner's friend, entanglement, Bells theorem, etc. Scientists have been struggling for decades to determine what the wavefunction actually means and if it is a complete picture of reality!

@Calidastas Dude are you able to see the comment that I sent earlier? Youtube deleted I think so I am not sure what comment you are replying to.

@Calidastas The quantum state in Copenhagen interpretation does not give you a picture of exactly what is going with an atomic system. It is not like Newton's laws in which the state of the system is able to tell you exactly how a macroscopic object moves and give exact trajectories. Quantum Mechanics does not give you that information and it is not even clear what the wavefunction tells you that is why there are like 8 different interpretations of QM and then you have the measurement problems which leads to absurdities like Schrodinger's Cat and Wigner's friend and other issues like non-locality and even reality itself has to be questioned if we take QM at face value. So don't tell me that QM gives a complete description of things at the atomic scale because no one who knows anything about physics believes that. QM is just a recipe or a machine that spits out very accurate answers to outcomes of an experiment but no one knows what's inside the machine itself. It does not paint a conceptual picture of atomic systems like other theories such as those created by Newton, Maxwell and Einstein have done to describe macrospic things. It is a blackbox that does not tell you exactly what is going on.

@Calidastas Perhaps! Maybe we are not thinking hard enough though. I believe the reason we cannot find a unified theory...the reason QM and General Relativity seem to be incompatible is due to our lack of understanding of quantum systems. That is the bottle neck and the reason theoretical physics has progressed very little in the last 50 y ears!

@johnschuh8616 He understood it better than everyone also though. I mean it is his theory that people are using to this day!
