  2. A few years ago, I was fortunate to have come across a translated version of original tales. About 40 years old. It was one of four. It had 100 tales in it. That mean they wrote at least 400? Unless the other books have longer stories.

  4. ​ @rvdb7363 I was a child in the 60s. We had a book of what I call "candified" retelling. I like to read. I much prefer to read the original stories. I have read many classic novels from the 17 and 18 hundreds. Mostly French

  5. I don't believe that people commit crimes based on what is printed, or today shown on screen. People were committing heinous crimes long before these forms were about. You are going to commit a crime based on your personal decision. I don't like what they have done to original stories here in the States. I was fortunate enough to have been able to get a hold of a translation of the original Grimm's Brothers Tales. I love it.
