@rodrigobarraza most of the time their inventions get credited to the company though, so we dont get a real introduction to the inventor.

@CountScarlioni Woke is the cognizance of injustice. To be "woke" is to be aware of injustice around you, often from outside of the normal sources. It is what happens when a person combines critical thinking with respect.

@90sHONEY Nuance and appropriate reactions are literally what woke is about. A person who complains about "not being able to speak anymore" is obviously not taking into account other's points of view to establish what is or is not appropriate. Often people will say "Oh, maybe Im not aloud to talk about this" and then say something innocuous and it instantly tells me they have no idea what they are talking about when they say "woke". Woke should mean the cognizance of injustice. Instead, conservative propaganda has turned it into a catch-all buzzword for "people we don't like".

@croonyerzoonyer so is stargate, but that's not the point of either of the two shows.

@dropit7694 the issue comes into what a person sees as 'fake balance' Clearly a flat earther is wrong. But how about balance of equity? Some people would say the BBC is chasing "fake balance" trying to "be woke." That's where the question comes in.

@VectorAlphaSec I'd argue society nowadays has more to learn.

I'd also point out that children learn from their parents. If a child fails to learn or isn't taught is that the child's fault or the parents?
