@envysart797 "If Ukraine takes back Kherson, there’s no easy way to protect Crimea." If you mean actually making a large scale offensive into Crimea, I don't see that happening. The Ukrainian's would have to fight through the very narrow isthmus of Perekop to enter Crimea and they can't rely on naval support as they don't have much of a navy. That seems too difficult. If you mean just blackmail through throttling the water supply into Crimea, that's more realistic. Such blackmail probably wouldn't cause Russia to give up Crimea but it might cause them to give up other areas if the war is also going badly enough.
