About the earlier Lockheed scandal, there is a satire game made of it called "I'm Sorry". The name is a pun as "sorry" sounds similar to the Japanese word for prime minister. In the game you play as PM Tanaka and collect stacks of cash.

@kevinavila9489 Based on watching American movies and TV series one gets the impression that crime is really rampant in the US. While there might be some truth to that I suspect fiction easily gives a very exaggerated picture. I suspect that the same is true for Korea. (Disclaimer: I've never been to the US nor Korea.)

Even if the manufacture of the shade balls consumes more water than the balls save doesn't necessarily mean it's a net loss if the balls are manufactured in a location where water is more plentiful. Also, while I don't know how the manufacturing process consumes water it might be that it can use water which isn't fit for drinking or irrigation.

1:20 Tokugawa Ieyasu wasn't the first Shogun. There's disagreement who first held the title but the first Shogun who was also the de facto ruler of the country was Minamoto no Yoritomo.

Some European countries, e.g. Denmark, have a 25% VAT.

"What percentage of the battery capacity do you need to use each day to keep the battery at operating temperature?" The battery charging and discharging heats it up (because the battery isn't 100% efficient) so you might not need separate heating most of the time.

Or a EUR amount so European viewers could do the same.

@charlesngs8249 Google says that Sengoku Period ended in 1615 which would make Tokugawa Hidetada the first shogun after it (though Ieyasu was the first Tokugawa shogun).

How do the zaibatsu compare to the keiretsu?
2
If it's in heavy use the charging and discharging will keep it heated without a need for separate heating.

"Weird how this never happened to the [...] Rothchilds[sic]" The Rothschilds lost something like 50% of their wealth in WWI, though this was just to the rigors of war, not explicit policy. Today they have much less wealth than they used to, at least in relative terms.

@HrHaakon I meant that many American movies and TV series can exaggerate the problem of crime. We can expect that Korean fiction can similarly exaggerate corruption etc.
2
@Jianli02 I think some of these depictions in fiction (like corruption in South Korea or violent crime in the US) are not completely made up but they may tend to be exaggerated.

"148wh/kg isn´t really that bad." Are you sure that number isn't for cells as well?

@rowbearly6128 I think he was just joking.

@hicmad Though the incarceration rate doesn't depend only on the prevalence of crime. It also depends on how likely criminals are to be caught, how serious the crime has to be to receive a prison sentence, and how long prison sentences tend to be on average. I think the incarceration rate is at least partly due to the US having longer prison sentences than other countries.

In English it's called "sodium".

"Since weight isn't really a concern in buildings, lithium-ion alternatives do seem like a major market waiting for the right conditions." But one option is used EV batteries which are still lithium-ion.
