  1. I think objecting to UBI because based on this study it seems to reduce hours worked is a bit weird. You'd expect any kind of welfare payment to do that. UBI might reduce hours worked less that other forms of welfare. If that's right it might be an argument to having at least a portion of the welfare system taking the form of a UBI. However, this particular study doesn't seem to provide much info on that particular question one way or the other.
