If there's a one state solution, it wouldn't really "let Turkey in the EU". After that one EU member would have a big ethnically Turkish and pro-Turkey minority but that's a small issue and I don't see anyone in the EU opposing solution for that reason. The problem hasn't been solved because in every case either one side or both of the sides hadn't wanted to accept the terms of a proposed solution. None of those were caused by the EU.

@demirel8918 "However, isolation continued." I don't think the isolation can be dropped without any kind of concession from the Turkish side (even if the Annan plan was rejected by the Greek side). The isolation began because the Turkish side made a formal and unilateral declaration of independence. That was something that many other countries didn't want to see and the Turkish side was strongly warned against it but went ahead with it anyway. You can't just expect the isolation being suddenly dropped when nothing has happened to the original reason for it.
