Oregano transplants.

I knew where St. Helena was but not because of Napoléon but rather because of an old (and really bad) board game.

Moreover, the person getting injured or killed could be you!

@Tsukiko.97 : Maybe he could make a video on the economics or logistics of Area 51.
1
It's Artsakh.

It's still 120V because that's the voltage of a live wire relative to neutral. That's how the voltage is measured.

@tomewyrmdraconus837 : "From a modern perspective, the language used when we were hunter-gatherers would almost certainly not qualify as a language." I find that very hard to believe (at least without a source). There are still some basically paleolithic or neolithic cultures and they still have what are most definitely languages. The languages might lack some concepts (like numbers) that would not be that important for hunter-gatherers, but are still quite sufficient for conversing about everyday life, telling stories, telling jokes etc.

Lol!

Well, you should've told him to release this at some other time!

Isn't Bukele the one who made Bitcoin legal tender and caused the government to lose a lot of money on it? Still, reducing the crime rate is probably a bigger plus than the fiscal loss is a minus.

If it's Boeing (737 MAX), it's going...away.
1
@jshepard152 : At least temporarily from service. :) But it was just joke anyway. Don't ruin it with "facts".

@Xylos144 "Yeah, his representation here was pretty disingenuous." While his explanation was flawed the result is still mostly the same. The cost of nuclear is mostly capital cost and it's cheap to run. Therefore you usually want to keep it running as much as possible and rather reduce the output of some more expensive to run energy source such as some fossil sources. Thus the result is still mostly as his graph showed, i.e. nuclear output is constant. France is a special case because the share of nuclear is so large that it needs some of its nuclear plants to do a part of the load following.

That's still very few countries. Also, e.g. Eritrea has received UN condemnation for taxing non-resident citizens.

It is stepped down to 120V because that's the voltage of a live wire relative to neutral. That's how the voltage is measured.
1
@bowez9 But the voltage number (if only one number is given) refers to the phase-to-neutral voltage. That's why it's called 120V.

@elinoamrichter162 I don't think those problems can in any way mean that congestion pricing wouldn't still be a net benefit.
1
@elinoamrichter162 Currently, the streets in Manhattan are inefficiently used. Too many cars and trucks just make the throughput lower than it could be; traffic is slower than it needs to be; it takes longer than needed for trucks and cars to reach their destination. With congestion charges it wouldn't be free for trucks to use the streets but it's also not free for all that capital (trucks) to sit idle needlessly in slow traffic. Both are costs that those businesses and consumers pay. The difference is that the former is just transferring value (money) to someone else but the latter just straight-up destroys value without it being gained by anyone else. Congestion charges lead to more efficient use of resources. To the degree that trucks are more essential street users than cars, presumably there is willingness to pay more for the service they provide than for transporting people in cars. Or maybe not, markets can decide which is more important by measuring the willingness to pay.

I think that $500,000 savings is supposed to be after the cost of the battery is paid off.
1
It's 120V relative to neutral for a live wire. That's how the voltage is measured.

18:55 Here you say that the decline isn't inevitable but the title of the video says the exact opposite.
1
Not necessarily. They can also burn the hydrogen in turbines.

First, you'll have to illegally immigrate to Mexico.
1
@brunovilela3619 If a forested area is going to get submerged wouldn't it make sense to log all the wood there and use it?

1974-2010

Sea levels have risen at least 16 cm since 1900.
1
"Do its flaws excuse illegal immigration? Absolutely not." How come? If there's no practical legal way and the alternative is to stay in destitution, I don't think I could honestly say I wouldn't do try illegal immigration.
1
The cost of the program might be comparatively small, but the greenhouse emissions of those flights should also be factored into the cost.

@seigeengine : What a strange reaction.
