You should have complained about that. Likely you would have gotten at least one free packet of rice and hopefully, they would learn about the problem to avoid it in the future.

@angelsanchez6028 "works as fertilizer" I find it hard to believe that the rice water would have enough phosphorus or nitrogen to work as a fertilizer (though it shouldn't any worse for watering than "regular" water either).

@boulderbash19700209 "So there's no reason to wash it." There can still be a reason to wash it if you don't like the free starch making the rice sticky, but that's a matter of taste.
