  1. Are you sure? That sounds way low. I have measuring spoons for those and the tablespoon is 15 ml (whereas the teaspoon is 5 ml).

  2. But aren't the teaspoon and tablespoon just 5 ml and 15 ml respectively?

  3.  @DokterRoetker  "I had a recipe call for a teaspoon of pepper. It didn't specify ground pepper, or how course of a grind." I don't think stating the amount in weight would help much in that particular case. Measuring such small amounts by weight accurately would at least be annoying, if not necessarily super difficult. Also, getting the amount right might not help all that much if the ground vs. non-ground is wrong.
