"But force wizards out of their jobs for stating that magical ability is inheritable?" At least being a wizard or a muggle is obviously largely heritable in the world of Harry Potter. Squibs are rare and muggle-born wizards even more so. It's a bit unclear if magical ability inside the population of wizards is heritable (and, if so, to what degree). Some Slytherins seemed to believe that; Hagrid believed the opposite. Even if it were heritable it still wouldn't seem to make sense to not train the "mud-blooded" in Hogwarts, as some Slytherins wanted, though.

1:28:50 Is there any evidence for the reason given by Dworkin? It kind of sounds like just speculation to me. It probably isn't easy for her to "get inside the head" of someone whose views are so far from hers so I'm not sure we should trust her judgment in this very much unless there's some evidence beyond her opinion.

@khaerinaenno "each time we have women actually acting against non-conforming gender roles, they do it as mothers or possible mothers" Firstly, it could just as well be that they just feel that it's a good persuasion tactic. Secondly, I'm a bit skeptical if that really happens "each time". I would venture to guess that e.g. some Catholic or Orthodox nuns have spoken against those roles without being even possible mothers (in their own mind).
