What? How is this Russian propaganda?

"Russia will enable the people of Ukraine to elect a less extreme government." Russia successfully cleaved away the most pro-Russia parts of Ukraine in 2014. That inevitably made the rest of Ukraine be more pro-West due to simple electoral arithmetic. If Russia came into control of the whole of Ukraine the elections would not be free. It would just be a regime imposed from the outside. It would not be a good outcome for Ukraine, at least not for the western parts of the country.

I don't think NATO made any such promises.

Though Russia seems to have done somewhat worse than predicted here. At least not that many Ukrainian troops seem to have been isolated into pockets and dealt with in piecemeal.

"What is the usa doing there." Where exactly? I don't think the USA is in Ukraine if that's what you meant by "there".

@antilarge7860 I did not use the word "video". Did you even read my comment?

@overclock1993 It's only one area. The graphics in this video seemed to indicate Ukrainian troops in the east getting isolated into many pockets. (Another factor not predicted in this video is Kyiv getting approached from Belarus on the western side of the Dnieper.)

@aitor47 "What would USA do if Russia would allocate soldiers and weapons in Mexico?" I'm pretty sure it wouldn't respond with invasion.

@maximbravo6835 In the case of Cuba it wasn't about troops but nukes in Cuba (and Turkey) and in any case it didn't result in an invasion and today's USA is quite different from the one during the Cold War.

@maximbravo6835 "NATO troops and arms in Ukraine..." I'm fairly sure that there are no (or next to no) NATO troops in Ukraine.

@maximbravo6835 The Canadian troops are there only train the Ukrainian military. There's only like 200 of them which is basically nothing in terms of military strength. They're only relevant in their training aspect.
