@aries6776 Nuclear plants usually have low running costs, not high.

@aries6776 "becaues when you include capital outlay, waste disposal, decommissioning the costs go way up" Handling the waste isn't a big cost either. The volumes of nuclear waste are fairly small. Most of the cost is the capital cost of the plant which has already been paid in the past and cannot be even partially recovered by closing the plants early so it shouldn't factor into whether to continue using the existing plants or not. Also, bringing the decommissioning cost earlier doesn't help either. I don't think it makes economic sense to not continue to use the existing plants until at least the end of their originally designed lifespan. Building new plants would be a different matter entirely. "plus large parts of germany is running out of excess water" Note that this applies to any kind of thermal plant using the Rankine cycle, including coal plants, not just nuclear plants.

@aries6776 "Tell me what your best proposal is for nuclear waste then" Just keep it in temporary storage for now. The volumes are so low that it's not costly at all. "The fact still remains energy produced by nuclear power is FAR more expensive than that of renewables." That's only the case when you consider the capital cost of the plant. That may make new nuclear plants too expensive but for the existing plants it's a sunk cost which should have no bearing on whether to continue to use them.

@aries6776 "they produce because other costs, such as capital" But this is sunk cost for existing plants so it's not an argument against continuing to use them. "decommissioning" Again, this isn't an argument against continuing to use existing plants because closing them earlier doesn't reduce decommissioning costs. In fact, decommissioning earlier can increase the cost when you consider time-discounting. "waste disposal" This is a very small cost. "When you add all those up nuclear comes out far more expensive than solar and wind" But when you consider only those which matter for already existing plants (so excluding building and decommissioning costs as those cannot be avoided anymore) the result is different. "Also nuclear is slow to build." But I was only advocating for continuing to use the existing plants. I wasn't suggesting that Germany should build more.
