  2.  @justinspeaks.1652 : True but Russia (along with others) was fighting a coalition of Central Powers anyway so it shouldn't matter who it's against. It would seem to me that "the situation only worsened for the Tsar from then on" is not true though Brusilov's success was of course only a temporary respite.
