@theramendutchman He does correctly say "gas" but for some reason the text in the video reads "oil".

I'd like to point out that historical city-states in e.g. ancient Greece were not like Singapore. They were small and centered around a single major settlement but most people still lived in rural areas. Singapore, however, is just the city and nothing more. Basically everyone lives in the urban area which also covers most of the country's land.

The previous king appeared to be more dignified.

@James-ek3il Japan has a primacy rate below 2. Tokyo metro area has a population of about 38 million and the Osaka metro area 20 million. I think your other examples are better ones but I think they're still not as concentrated as Thailand (even with correct figures).

@auth.enticProd Why did they name that game after a fish?

Does that mean that the sponsorship by them is the problem or that they sponsored the problem?

Good point but the ratio is still pretty big.

@Lucas_Antar The modern Greek cities are larger but they're not so large as to cover all of the territories of their ancient city-states (as then most of Greece would be urban). E.g. ancient Athens/Attica had, well, all of Attica as it's territory. At least the modern region of Attica is over 5 times as large as Singapore by area. Granted, ancient Attica was smaller than modern Attica but was still likely several times larger than modern Singapore. (I couldn't quickly find the area of ancient Attica but it seemingly did cover the entire Attican peninsula as well as the island of Salamis.) I think Luxembourg is closer to what the ancient city-states were.

@Asgath I haven't yet encountered a bad way to prepare salmon but I have to admit that I haven't tried to batter them.

@vikingursigurdsson Well, I'm a Finn so that might explain the difference in taste.

@ThamizhanDaa1 Every country except North Korea. ;)

That 700k is the population falling within the municipal borders. Such administrative borders are arbitrary and don't really matter for this purpose.

@johannesdalseg5893 PolyMatter counted the entire Olso metro area. You can argue about what exactly should be counted for this purpose but e.g. official municipal borders can be pretty meaningless. E.g. the City of London has less than 10k people.

Starbuck was already used as a fictional currency in Star Control.

@kubazaleskii577 That's the population inside the municipal borders. Such administrative borders are arbitrary and don't matter for this purpose.
1
You're thinking about just the population that falls inside the borders of the municipality of Oslo. That kind of administrative borders are arbitrary and don't matter for this purpose.
