0:20 To anyone who hasn't tried climbing, this isn't actually realistic worry. A normal healthy person can climb the easiest routes with little difficulty. If you can climb ladders (I mean, ladders with rungs, not stepladders) you can climb the easiest routes. From thereon the difficulty curve is reasonably gradual so you'll likely to find good routes for you skill level. No need to feel intimidated.

@lavaot5207 I was also thinking about bouldering; well, indoors bouldering, not climbing actual boulders outdoors. Even in (indoors) bouldering the easiest routes are easily doable for almost everyone who isn't either very young, very old, or have some serious medical condition. I would say, even in bouldering, if you can climb ladders you can also climb the easiest (indoors) routes. On a personal note, (indoors) bouldering is actually the only kind of climbing I've done. Well, I've tried with rope (with auto-belay machines) twice but my fear of high places got in the way.
