"Russia never had that imperialists burden." Russia has precisely the same imperialist burden. It carried out conquests in e.g. Central Asia and has not given up many of those conquests. It's the last remaining colonial empire.

@killa361 According to Russian law conscripts cannot legally be sent to fight outside the borders of Russia, at least not without a formal declaration of war or something like that (though some conscripts were illegally sent, at least in the early phases of the war). Because LPR & DPR are not part of Russia they don't have to follow Russian laws and they have conscripted a very large percentage of their male population and sent them to the frontlines. If they became a part of Russia there would suddenly be constraints on using this conscript force if the law isn't changed. (This was my answer to the question you asked Diamonddavej.)

@East112T "Kashmir is part of India historically" All of Pakistan was historically a part of British India historically. I don't think history can point to where the border between India and Pakistan should go because it's in any case an internal division of what was British India.
