  1. I wonder if that kind of extra cylinder(s) would make sense on ship diesel engines. I'd imagine those run most of the time at specific rpm so you can design for that specifically. Ship diesel engines are 2-stroke engines so I guess with extra cylinder(s) they would be 3-stroke rather than 5-stroke, but still.
