  1. My mom said I am an idiot, because I didn't take a job in NYC. She said you will make more there. She doesn't understand how much it costs to live in NYC. I make 35% less in the state where I live, but the cost of living is much lower. The people in China have a significant advantage, because the there is NO LAND SPECULATION. Land speculation causes inflation. Prices are determined by the price of real estate. Businesses have to pay more rent, or lease. People have to pay more for rents and mortgages. This causes the price of labor to go up, and this causes the prices to go up.
