As for education, subjects in high schools only touch the surface. If you want to go deeper, you have to go to college/university. If you want to go more into depth then you have to go graduate school.
For example, you learn about light and lasers in high school physics. In college/university, you learn about the application of light, refraction, and lasers. In graduate school, you learn about lasers and how you can use different types of lasers with different wavelengths. Solving more complex problems with lasers, like using it in the application of lithography machines. Doing experiments with lasers, like shooting a laser through water, magnifying glass, and through other surfaces. If you want to get a Ph'd then you have to find a way to turn what you learned into something concrete. Using a laser into optical disc, laser in the application to track distance, a optical device that can split lasers, etc.
High school education is just basic. My friend's sister didn't go to college, so she became a hair stylist. Other people I knew went to the military, and that became his career. People who don't go to college become trades people, like plumbers, electricians, roofers, carpenters, barber, metal working, etc. People can do e-commerce.
Higher education is about learning a subject in great depth. You should finish university. I plan to go to China, South Korea, or Japan to teach English. There are prerequisite, like having a Bachelor's degree, a English teaching certificate, and a clean record. That's all. Living in Asia might be better than living in a Western country.

Look at the bright side, you have full employment. You are only 26 years old, so you are still young. For me, I am 49 years old, my skills are redundant, not married, and I am only working part time making a little bit more than minimum wage.
I have a home that is paid off, but I don't have much of a future. The property tax, and home owners insurance is more than the mortgage in the 1990s!
I plan to go to China, South Korea, or Japan to teach English.

I think people judge you based on your profession when you are an adult. Looks are important, but it isn't as important as your social standing based on your occupation. The same goes for any men really, who don't have much in terms of finances or a good occupation.
For women, looks are important. A lot women using beauty filters to look amazing, but it isn't real. Women also wear makeup to look good. There were times when I dated women who looked really beautiful with makeup. However, when the makeup came off, they don't look that great.
When I went on dates, women asked me what I do for a living. That was almost always the first question. They would look at things like, what kind of car this person drives, and how he is dressed.
As for you, you look pretty good. When you ask women out, the rejection rate is usually very high. I would say 8 out 10 times, women will say I am busy, I have a relationship, or some other excuse.

In the West, you have to pay property tax. Even if your home is paid off, you still have to pay this property tax. You have to have home owners insurance. The price of the average home is about half a million dollars, so you need to pay 5000 bucks in property tax. You also have to come up with 4500 bucks for the home owners insurance every year. You need to come up with 9500 bucks a year to have a roof over your head. You have to pay for a car, so you need to pay for car insurance every month. You need utilities, so you need to pay for that every month. With no debts, you still need to make at least 22k to 25k per year before taxes. If you have a mortgage, car payments, student loan debts then you will need to make at least 104k/year before taxes. This is just a basic life, just to have a roof over your head, and transporation.
