  1. We can ban classes of firearms. They did it with the National Firearms Act of 1934, with that law they banned automatic weapons, firearms with bores larger than .50 cal, explosives, sawed off shotguns, and short barrelled rifles. Semi-Automatic military style rifles can be added into that law.
