  1. If Silicon Valley cannot sell their chips to China, they will lose a big market share. As a result, you have a glut of chips in the market which is causing the profitability of these companies dropping. This in turn is causing these semiconductor companies laying off people. At the same time, you are encouraging China to develop their own chips and semiconductors. The Chinese are developing RISC-V, and they are improving their X86 Zhaoxin processors.
