I remember back in 1987, a steak and lobster dinner used to cost $5.99 at Sizzler. If you want to go out and get a steak and lobster dinner, it will cost you $45 to $50 + tax + 20% tip. I took my nephew to Disneyland, and the ticket cost $105, back in 1988 that same ticked was $17. I spent about $300 in Disneyland, Buena Park last year. If you don't want to just eat Top Ramen everyday, and have a good life in the US, you need to make at least $150k/year.

I live in the US, and i dated these. They only date Chinese guys that are above average, like men who are tall, look really handsome, have money, and have a good career. I was going to get married to a blonde, but I didn't get married after she said I only like you because you have money. If it wasn't fir that, you can be alone. When I was growing up in the 1980s, I saw what credit card debts, and home equity loans could do by observing my parent's life. It is ruinous. When I started my life, I said to myself I will do my best to pay off all my debts. After I graduated from university, I saved as much as I could pay that off. I did the same after I got a mortgage, and got that paid off in about decade. Today, I don't have any debts, but I still have to pay car insurance, property tax, homeowners insurance, utilities, health insurance, and other bills. My income today is less than 50k/year, because I am just working part time, but I can pretty much do what I want, like go on trips, and buy what I need and want. I think the problem what most people in the US has is a high level of debt, and that is what is dragging down most people. It is much more difficult to buy a home today compared to the 1990s when I bought my home.

Did you guys ever see the episode of the Simpsons called the Serfsons? Homer the medieval serf had a hovel(home), and a family. The modern day serf doesn't even have home, or a family. They are sleeping in their vehicle, couch surfing, living in their parent's garage/basement, and skipping meals. Serfson has his own place, and serfson gets to eat three meals a day. Is the modern day peasant better off than a serf in medieval times?

We all know that, the people who got themselves into too much debt will get hurt, and saved almost no money will suffer. In Debtmerica, if you miss 3 months of mortgage payments, your home will get foreclosed on. If you can't make your car payments, the repo man will use a GPS tracker to find your car and take it from you. I hope people learn something from this catastrophe that they must save money, don't fuck around in school, and don't get yourselves into too much debt. If they don't learn then they will suffer again when something like this happens again.

The price of these homes are more expnensive, but the quality is zero. The quality of cars had also gone down, quality of service, etc. They want to use the cheapest materials to maximize profits.

Trump is an old man with dementia. A 1951 mile wall isn't going to work, it didn't work in China holding back the barbarians. It won't work here either. That border is way too long, you need to put 100,000 to 150,000 men to reinforce that wall, and the cost of that along would be more as much as $10 billion to $20 billion per year to maintain that wall with that kind of man power, along with the logistics to support that many people.

Right after I graduated from high school in 1993, finding any job was hard. When I was going to college, I found a job at Teletech for $6/hour working part time, and I thought I was lucky. I was doing other stuff on the side, like tutoring math courses, like Trigonometry as well.

I will tell you the situation in the US, because I live here. A lot of people that worked very good jobs had lost their jobs in the past 2 years; however, there are a lot of low paying jobs. If you are a regular person, you could take one of these jobs, like working as a ride share driver, delivery man, working at a restaurant, working at a warehouse, painting houses, working as a construction worker, etc. The problem is finding a decent place to live, because the cost of living is very expensive. It is very common thing these days for 3 people to share a studio or a one bedroom apartment. If you don't have much skills or education, your standard of living will be very low. You will be working more than 70 hours a week, and you will be living in a small room. Even though wages are lower in China, basic things are cheaper in China, like food, rent, utilities, etc. You are better off living in China in my opinion.

I remember back in the 1980s, we had so many different platforms, like BBC Micro, Commodore 64, Spectrum ZX, Apple ProDOS, Apple Mac OS, MSX, Amtrad CPC, Commodore Amiga, MS-DOS, Fujitsu FM-7, Sharp X68000, etc. None of these were compatible with each other. We need more players, because the PC industry had been stagnant for years.

As for SBCs, I transitioned to the Orange Pi, and Banana Pi platforms. I turn them into remote control cars, drones, NAS servers, retro gaming machines, and as microcontrollers. I did successfully turn a Orange Pi 4 into a mini PC, it could stream videos, browse the internet, online shopping, email, word processing, retro gaming, streaming video, etc. As for emulation, I use a SFF computer hooked up to my television. SFF computers has more power than any SBC, so it is the best choice for retro gaming up to a Nintendo GameCube.

The last computers I bought were from 2013, and 2014. Now, Microsoft is forcing people to get computers, because they know most computers released in 2009 and after were good enough to run their latest O.S.. It seems like a ploy by Microsoft to get people to get new computers. In the past, people had to get new computers to run the latest version of Windows. After Windows 7, computer hardware was so powerful that there was no need to get new computers.
