If you have a right of conquest then they have a right of resistance. You can tell someone to be invaded by a foreign power they hate (Because sometimes people welcome foreign powers to get rid of the existing one that they hate). Anyones yeah you cant tell someone to just accept being invaded by a foreign power they hate nor can you deny the foreign powers right of conquest therefore if you can invade then they can resist and if they invade then you can resist as newtons third law of motion states: ''Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'' If you are to invade then expect resistance and dont expect anyone other than you or your allies to say that the resistance is unlawful or that it shouldnt happen and people should just stfu.
