  1. Ford understands its F-150 customers. They are generally rather conservative and don’t like change that much. Going to an EV is a big change for many people so Ford made the lightning to look like its ICE F-150 counterpart so it will be an easier transition for many Ford customers.

  2. Your comments makes Elon Musk’s accomplishments even more amazing. Yes, Ford, Lucid, Rivian and others are shipping but still a drop in the bucket compared to Tesla. For awhile I kept hearing about the next “Tesla Killer” but not lately. 🤗

  5.  @dennisbett747  I would expect much more real competition for Tesla in a few years but the current one off prototype EVs or minimal shipments from EV companies show just how hard it is to make a viable EV vehicle company.

  6. I see lots of designs for flying cars that are beautifully engineered. The basic problem is batteries. Batteries as they currently exist simply don’t have a high enough energy to weight ratio so a flying whatever cannot sustain flight for very long. Until this problem is solved flying cars are still in “The Jetsons” phase.

  7. The Rabbit R1 right now just sounds like a poorly functioning smartphone. As to your comment about Tesla gathering data to make FSD work I would point out that FSD still doesn’t work despite the millions of terrabytes Tesla has recorded.

  8. Very well done review! This is some cool technology from Apple but is it worth $3,500 for the average consumer? It’s seems like it’s mostly just putting an iphone and computer screen on some goggles for the most part. On top of that it is unpleasant to wear for any length of time because of the weight plus the battery only lasts 2-4 hours or you need to be plugged in to an outlet. I assume there will be some great VR games that would make it worthwhile but for business use not so sure.

  13. This is really a great piece of technology but what problem does it really solve? We have wide screen high definition TVs, large screen computer monitors, decent face time, plus you have to wear this heavy thing on your head, it lasts only two hours and it’s expensive. I think this will be just a niche product for people who like high tech and can afford it.

  14. The basic issue is that after so many years full FSD is still not here. So you can make a pretty prototype and impress all the Tesla fanboys and fangirls but a true robotaxi is still years away.

  18. It’s pretty clear the Ultra is for people into extreme sports or dealing with rugged environments. For the average user it looks a bit clunky on one’s wrist.

Good suggestions however right now Twitter seems to be flailing from Musk way overpaying for Twitter to his comments about free speech which seems to be scaring advertisers afraid of extreme speech plus all the layoffs and rehiring some of the layoffs which doesn’t exactly inspire that Musk knows what the hell he is doing. Some say Musk is playing 4D chess so I guess we’ll see.
