  247.  @user-account-not-found  I don't know. I'm just trying to give my opinion about Bidens comment. A lot of young people only hear, FREE,,, everything. You see that when you read Bernie followers comments and listen to them. True socialism isnt free everything. You pay extremely high taxes, and it may be you get medical, schooling, housing etc. But it's what they give you, not, everyone gets a house and property and you don't have to work, you're just a student living large off the taxes of other working stiffs. Probably lucky to get an apt just big enough for an amount of people that live there. The gov details your life. The real problem with the US,is tax loopholes. As u said, gotten through lobbies by wealthy to get those loopholes to their favor. In return, they donate to the politicians campaign and presents that we'll never see. It sucks, but we've never known the opposite, so we can only see what we're taught and hear. I don't know enough about it truthfully. I'm just a working stiff carpenter. I get by and do what I can at election time to vote for people that aren't all mouth and then can't deliver. I knew Trump was a glorified used car salesman. He's only gotten worse, but we do try,,,to go by a code. A code of the constitution. Written by men that saw monarchy's and didn't want that for this country. Unfortunately, politicians,,some,,got huge egos and bank accounts taking advantage where they could to rewrite the constitution, to meet their wants. Now it's up to the majority to stand up to the bastards and get the laws working for everyone, like it was supposed to.

  283. Come on everyone. One thing, there is 0 comparison to the Holocaust to American slavery at all. So why the hell get so crazy trying to compare it. Second, Slavery was introduced by English and other European slave traders. Brought to America and sold to wealthy farmers and other business owners as cheap or unpaid labor. We don't know for fact that slaves didn't learn things in the employ of the people they worked for. Therefore I believe the education of slavery and the introduction of slaves into America and elsewhere in the world, be studied thoroughly. And as much as possible. And truthfully. Not the Desantrump way. I think slavery may have had some good aftereffects too. It brought a new culture to America. Face it. Every non American had problems gaining equality in the US. Not just black people. Hell, even women had to fight for equality. White women. Face it, America is an ego trip. But not all Americans of course. Some people, like whomever Ron Desantrump is listening to, don't want true history. Only the positive side. But then also some, only want to bring up the negative side. That's why, hiding sources of learning is not a positive thing. And Ron is wrong. I'm a German born person that came to the US at age 4. My American adopted dad, told my German mom, to only speak English to me growing up. So I totally forgot any German I knew. Obviously not that much at 4, but could have retained enough to be more bilingual. Now I wish I could at least speak some German. So to maybe speak to my relatives in Germany. But just because dad forbid my mom to at least give me some German. I know nothing. As Sargeant Shultz says. And this is like Desantrump, forbidding African studies or studies about the history of slavery. Kids may always be ignorant about the facts. But I mean some beneficial facts too. Slavery wasn't ideal. No doubt. But back then, what was? There were white super poor too . Whites that worked for pennies a day. Barely surviving. History is about everyone's history. Why do we always have to segregate it?

  312. John Doe I'm not saying there's not enough blame to go around. And it's true the kid should have been better regulated . Which is one aspect of , Regulations,,, which is not a Democrat policy,, Republicans are the, no regulations,,party. Why else does the NRA fund the Republicans 10 to 1. Why the hell should every place thst people congregate, be a war zone. With guards packing m16s . Why should we back track to the days of mobs or the wild west, just so the gun manufacturer's and the NRA make billions off of gun gone crazy rush. Don't know about you, but walking down the street with cops wearing riot gear on every corner, and helicopter gun ships patrolling all over is not my idea of a free society. Last time I checked, you can still carry a weapon with a carry license, right? I m sure anyone that wants to carry a gun for protection,,as you and the NRA woman can do so with a permit. I keep saying,,if you or anyone is so damn fearful of attack,,get a damn gun to carry legally and feel like a man. And your right , he should have never been able to walk into school carrying a damn m16,, but also is he'd never have been able to buy one,, that would have helped too. I said it in several comments,,there were many factors that failed the kids at the school, the kids at other schools and any other place of past shootings. Every past event , there were NO changes made,,none. And I'm sorry to clue you but here in FLA, it's a republican run government. The US government is republican controlled right now,,they don't even vote on changes,,at all. Don't pin this on Obama.

  398.  @Chaos-._  That's why I tried to specify my lack of, hands on experience with the gender issue. I'm 70 years old, and through all my youth, never had contact with anyone trans. And even through puberty and on through my years as an adult, still never been exposed to this gender issue. So you'll understand my ignorance in the area. My whole point was meant to try and understand the total transition, vs acceptance that not everyone is the same degree of male or female. When I was in the army, there were guys who were conscientious objectors. Some guys gave them grief. Called them names. Of course this was during the draft. Your number came up, you're in. Unlike today. I gave them the right to be objective. War does suck. Especially seemingly misunderstood ones. Noone, should be forced to kill another person on the roll of the dice. Anyway, all through my early years and middle years, I knew about gay folks, cross dressing, etc. But never knew a trans person. Being a remodeling person, I've worked for gay people and never had any feelings of animosity or that they were weird or anything. Just guys that were living with other guys and women with other women, that they loved or just had an arrangement with. I guess it's hard for me to think of a 7 year old, truly having the mindset, without outside influence, that he or she was meant to be the other sex. I did have a woman I knew tell me, she thought she should have been a boy, because she liked to do typical boy stuff. Play football, baseball etc. But she turned out to be very much a woman. Had a son. Likes to cook, dresses like anyone else. All the general markings of a woman. But I do notice she's kindofa tomboy too. Likes hiking, kayaking, camping, etc. But that doesn't mean she wanted to change her sex at an early age, when she wondered if she should have been a boy. And that's my point. Maybe we jump too early. Just cause someone else says, sure! Go for it. But I don't think less of your brother or anyone that makes the decision. It's just my feelings on the subject. Just like a little boy wanting to play with dolls say. Do we automatically assume he's really a girl trapped in a boy's body? I wouldn't. Time to grow thru life naturally. Accepting the differences.
