  1. Though I'm not for complete college free pay, I agree with free k through 12. Every child should have at least a 12 year education and all that goes along with it. Meals, aid in supplies when needed etc. There has always been aid for college. Scholarships, financial aid for low income. When a plain 4 year degree truly doesn't give u any more real education than highschool, if.... You make the best of it. Example:. I wasn't very good in school. Maybe a c minus average. College isn't going to suddenly make me a better student. And thats the average happening in the US. I'm probably not going to excell in any profession. But that doesn't mean I should have to live poor all my life. I don't want a free ride, just decent pay for a job if I do it well. I could probably learn surgery. But I may not be the best, just qualified. And I gotta believe there are surgeons that are mediocre even with college and med school. This is a very slippery slope.

  2. Both of y'all have good points, but, Sam, you are making some responses that aren't proper. How about this. Ed loans w 0 interest. Also 0 repay until your income from that Ed, gives you enough to pay it back without going into debt. This way, your not cheating on the loan, but your not paying back 3 times what you borrowed. I took out a parent loan for my son to go to college. But his job only made him 40 thousand a year. We ended up paying 10 thousand back on a 12 thou loan then 2008 hit. My income went so low i couldn't afford to pay the last 2 thou. So now I'm on the hook for it. My son went into the military for 4 years and they paid his debt. Sam, I know you mean well but your bouncing all over the map in the explanation. You're making it a mess of explanation.
