  4.  @charlottecolley6966  I used to be a ney voter person. Always thought like many, that 1 vote wouldn't make the difference. I first voted for Barack, because I finally saw the possibility of real change. My wife is a Dem and our ideals are very much the same, so I signed up as a Democrat. Then I got a bit jaded because thru his 8 years, I didn't see any change much for us lower income folk. I'm a lifelong Floridian and a carpenter. Obamacare didn't really help us in our income bracket, we still couldn't afford insurance. So we'd still be going to low grade medical facilities. And seeing that he wasn't really able to get signed very many bills to help low income people, thanks to McConnell and his hate for anything with a Dem plan stamped on it. I switched to an independent. Seems both sides are the same when it comes to being greedy. Both want everything their own way. Only in the middle, working together would be a true democracy. But extreme members of both sides want what they want, rather than compromise. But now, with Trumpublicans , it's even worse. I'm glad you are so well informed as to candidates. But I'll tell you, the kind of people running for office, the choice is almost made for you. Personally we both voted for Hillary, and though I was trying to be positive, I think I thought down insde she may not win. I thought she'd kinda have the aid of Bill's popularity. But with all the propaganda against her it didn't happen. And as usual, Republicans worked the States with the most electoral college votes. Maybe we'll come thru the mid terms at least keeping what we have. Then Biden will have a chance to get his agenda fulfilled. We have to keep trump out of the white house. As well as Desantrump. Keep the faith Charlotte. Even in a red state, as long as Dems keep Congress and the white house, the trickle down will be positive.

  6.  @RealJackHQ  I read a little of his proposal and laughed right away. The Republicans would have never, gone for it. Personally, I believe it was the Republicans that did, just what McConnell promised. Stand in the way of every decent proposal Obama brought to the table. The article I read went into great detail of the plan. And at every turn all i could hear was the right throwing up socialism in our faces. I believe Obama had...a good plan back then. But just as now, the Republicans block or deny or start their socialism speak and block it. I believe I remember Obama apologizing for several points of his plan. High co-pays and deductibles. Everyone I spoke to said the same thing. Some points are very good but certain things still put it out of my reach. I remember. I'm a carpenter and my pay never allotted us the privilege of health insurance. I'm a vet, so I had the VA. But we paid out of pocket for everything my wife and our kids needed. Thankfully we were blessed with healthy kids. Same with my wife. Glasses doc visits, out of pocket. And I've been with people who have health care insurance through their company, and still they end up going to clinic style assembly line doctor's. Only people working for really good paying companies have good almost private doc visits. Even VA is like warehouse medical treatment. I figure socialized systems are the same. 20 people to an hours call time. My mom had Obamacare. She needed to see a specialist, a neurologist. And had to wait two months, for an appointment. Because it wasn't deemed, an emergency. The good ole days of seeing your home practitioner , are gone. Unless you're rich and money is no object. You're right. Medical service, is a right. Or should be. Not a, for profit, big lucrative business.
