I understand testing, certification,etc. But still, even military submarines, have disasters. Killing massive crews. Destroying billions of dollars in construction outside the loss of life.
Face it. Inventions used for many purposes, are a risk. Hell, driving to the grocery store, is a risk. Not that it is taken lightly. But everyday life, is a risk.
I was looking into the findings of the research done so far on this accident. But, I'd already come to the conclusion, it was the carbon fiber, that was the culprit. Basically its plastic. And the expansion and contraction dive after dive, is what caused the crackling sound they were talking about in the transcript. I don't remember seeing the pressure hull in all the recovery videos. Seems that would have proven it, right there. We saw the tailpiece, the front dome, the components inside the tailpiece, the titanium rings that were on the ends of the pressure hull. But no pressure hull. That's what I was curious about. But thanks.
