I'm no Republican at all but can you please explain to me how giving a loan forgiveness to a person making 400 thou a year, not giving money to the wealthy? What low income person makes 400 thousand a year? I'm sorry but if I made 400 thou a year, I could retire after 10 years, 5 years a millionaire. Does a millionaire need financial aid?

@carolecjpostal7125 Last night Medias touch gave an update on the loan forgiveness bill. He did say 20 thou was for 125 thou a year and less. But 10 thou is anyone under 400 thou a year. Maybe he misspoke but that's what I heard. The last I heard prior was 10 thou off for people earning 250 thou. Still it's like the 600 dollar money for EVERYONE, who have a SS card? Once again, why give aid to people who don't need it? Loan forgiveness should be for people who are Low income! The idea is to help people actually in need. Not throw out free money to people who are doing well. My daughter is a 50 year old highschool teacher. She makes about 73 thou a year. She lives in the Chicago area, and has a 600 thousand dollar home. She pays 2500 a month for her mortgage. She paid her loans. She worked summers to help pay her school dues. She still does well even with all that. So you can't tell me a person making 125 thou a year, can't pay their loans? Come on. And anyone making 250 thou should be ashamed of themselves taking a dime. Who doesn't realize that if you give aid smart, it'll go a lot farther to aid more people and do other things with.

@carolecjpostal7125 Thanks for the clear up. And you are damn right about gov officials getting forgiven for the PPP loans. It's like no-one draws any lines between where being needy and well off is. Just blanket throw money. With the reasoning that it'll get put into the economy through purchasing. When we know wealthy people just stash it. I'd love to be a fly in the room, when they decide what to do to save the country financially. Of course I'd probably be so pissed I'd probably scream. And a screaming fly would get too much attention. Thanks Carol And married people earning 250 grand a year? It's probably going to a joint account. 2 can live as cheap as 1, so help each other out with your loans. If you need to. Personally. I don't think u need to. But... I would to see, interest free loans for school loans. They get their money back and do a favor for students as well. Also...defer payments if needed. We did. It was very helpful.

Hey Bernie. Nurse's don't make 400 thousand dollars a year. Does anyone know that 25 or 30 bucks an hour, is less than 70 thou a year. Please don't give me this crap that a person making 400 , 300, and 250 thou a year, needs a financial break of another 10 thou off their loan. The money you save by giving loan forgiveness to only people making 70 thou or less, a year, you can put towards health care. Why are all these people saying 400 thou a year is low income and need a break? It's crazy.
