Come on Mark, as a submariner, you know damn well you're life is at risk. Fire, explosion, air loss, basic drowning. Even as a scuba diver, there's a known risk every time you go down. Just going swimming there's a known chance of death. Who do we blame if we go swimming and drown.
This company doesn't have bottomless pockets. What's a life worth? The poor rich guys that bought their tickets, knew exactly the risk. Very sad, but true. My condolences to the families. But there are thousands of people a year that die in water related circumstances.
Even if someone sues and they pay out everything they have, it's not worth 1 death. Except for the 19 year old, the others were totally responsible for whatever happens. I believe the son may have been influenced heavily by his father.
Be a man my son. Make me proud. 😢

I believe there would have to be pick-ups, deployed in the oceans, all over. I cannot fathom from thousands of miles away they could pinpoint so close as to confirm location.
That was my thought as well. When I heard that at certain depths, an object can compress like 2 inches. It's obvious that the way the Titan was constructed, in different materials and pieces, those different materials compress at different degrees. It is obvious to me that the main body, constructed of carbon fiber, would compress differently that the titanium rings at each end of the tube.
I cannot believe they'll know exactly, when and at what depth and time etc, the device gave way. The only way to test it would be to make an exact model of the sub, and send it down under control or, place an exact model and place it in a tank designed to increase pressure in stages. It still would be exact, because of the size difference, but it would give some answers.
As of this moment they have gotten most of all of the sub up and either on a ship or at a lab.
Except for the boy, these (men), knew it was VERY MUCH, a risk. From what I've heard one guy is a deep sea explorer. He knew EXACTLY, the risk. The Indian billionaire is some kind of ego tripper with more money than common sense. The boy went because ego trippen daddy said, come on son, be daddies big boy. Risk your life to show me your a chip off the ole block. The skipper probably thought he was right and go with it. Face it. Man in general think we're indestructible. We race cars, motorcycles, jet planes. Dive off cliffs. Parachute. Everyone could kill us. But we do it. 🥴 We're nuts!
