@laurasands3997 Personally, I don't see how ANYONE, could be a lifelong Republican. Or honestly even a blind faith lifelong Democrat. But I can easily understand being a Dem proudly, over being a Republican. I understand the," conservative", thing. The word, anyway. But at 72, I've seen 0 Republican presidents, that are conservative, when it comes to the Reagan economic policies. Especially, noticing that through Reagan and afterwards. Millionaires prospered, while the working class became poorer. 🤔 How can anyone boast that and feel... unashamed? But, its never been as,, blatant, as it is with trump and especially his second act.
Despicable. Is the weakest adjective, I can use to describe this administration and the Republican party.

@carrie5490 Honestly. The Republican party, since about Reagan. Have been cooked. Mitch McConnell, in my opinion, was a puppet for dark money, since he became Republican Senate leader. His goals were deliberate and conniving. And when trump became president, he was the golden goose for McConnell. And he played him like Putin did, but for the dark money crowd here in the US. Many of the truly Republican members, don't mind trump. That's probably why they have basically renamed the Republican party. Or reshaped it. But for many decades, the Republicans have desired a more, in charge, party. Without all the oversight, regulations and protections, they don't want to have to live by. Unless of course, they are rules and regulations THEY, propose. Look at the supreme Court. Those members that take advantage of their power. Are now backing djt. In practically everything he asks for. And those who do, you notice. Are the ones getting into all this financial mischief. That may not answer your question. But it kinda shows a little, about why they aren't forming another party. Because when trump is gone. They'll still be as powerful as he leaves them. They hope.
