So do y'all think any of the Republican candidates truly thought they could have beat trump as the nominee? Or, are they just in it to audition for a place on the ticket?

@brandonm949 I find it hard to believe even Desantrump thought he had a chance. This time around anyway. Maybe VP, though being in the same state that's supposedly taboo. Or, just to feel it out for '28. His gov term is officially up in '26. So a slight sabbatical would give him time to prep better. Still may. But ya never know. Even though he's kissed trumps dingus, trump may not want him as anything. Cept bootlicker. Trump loves beggars to come asking for favors, after they shun him. Makes him feel strong. But if Desantrump polls good enough, he may shoot for '28. He's definitely an egotripper.
