  1. I'm finding that out right now. My 1100 dollar Hisense bottom mount just died after 14 months. It took almost 3 weeks to get a new compressor installed. Just yesterday the repairman replaced the compressor. Now today, the refrigerator is getting to about 50 to 60 degrees, before the compressor kicks in. Even though I set it for 37degrees, at the recommendation of the repairman. My last bottom mount was a Kenmore, with an LG compressor, but ran perfect for 12 years. I think 12 years is reasonable for a thousand dollar fridge. But I year and 2 months? Not even.

  2. And yes. The newer controlboard appliances SUCK!! So much for innovation. Cost twice as much, with half the longevity.
