@wettau I would say Obama pushed them over the edge. They hated him with a passion. But they were the same with Clinton too. They get totally freaked when a well liked Democrat is in the white house. Honestly, I didn't start having any interest in government until Obama became president. Mostly because I've really never been affected financially, by who's in the white house, Democrat or republican. When Obama ran was the first time I voted. I truly had some pride that things were maybe gonna change for the better for the lower income folks. But things stayed about the same. Honestly I did great during Clinton, fell during Bush W. And balanced out during Obama. Trump has kept things on the scale Obama started, and the tax cuts have obviously helped the wealthy, which does on a short scale help some of the little people, but with prices going up it doesn't show much. Anyway the Republicans have truly gone to the dogs with Trump.

@wettau Cause that lobby money speaks volumes about their character. Oh I'm sorry. Forgot they have none already. It's all in the green. Why else would doctors, lawyers, businessmen, run for office? Cause they'd have to work for their salaries. Now they get paid for hardly working at all and kickbacks from everyone that wants a favor.
