@david-w6t6c I'm also 72, and we should be old enough to have seen past episodes of financial abuse of funding. Misuse of power in government. The problem now is, we have almost lost the safety of checks and balances in the government. I'm not sure the forefathers considered the scenario we're in now. Because how many checks and balances do we need? Over the years, one party or the other, has worked over decades, to set up what we now have. All three branches of government, in lock step with the president. Who is being bought and paid for by a dark money group of not only national interests but foreign as well. I just don't think they figured this when writing the constitution. They also probably figured the voters, would be there to vote out, undesirable legislators, when they became corrupted. Little did they know. 🙃

@evelynbonner3908 He may well be. But sorry, to say. Governments have, skimmed from crisis aid from national government handouts. The funds get handed to the local government slush fund and can be gotten into by people in the government. It's not unheard of.

I'm ALL FOR, people who actually NEED, aid during times of crisis, to get that aid ASAP! But please don't throw money at wealthy home owners and wealthy property owners, who are more than happy to take it, but don't truly need it. Yes! I'm sorry some millionaires, lose their billion dollar homes and property. But I'm sure they have 100% insurance, and they're not hard up for a place to stay. This happens all the time. Mass handouts. To people during a crisis. When it's very likely, half those people don't need the handouts.

@ChillWill-q5x I don't know about fund dollars getting syphoned off by the governor or the government there. My biggest objection is wealthy people taking advantage of the funds when they are very able financially, to absorb their losses. Whether through insurance or just their own personal wealth. And, shister business owners, taking advantage of property losses acting as middlemen, to aid payouts.

@SugaKookieMon Felon 47 is basically an egregious link, in our chain of presidents. He's a phony. Basically stands for nothing. Except his own personal importance. His reasoning for wanting to be president, was probably someone whispering in his ear to do so. He has no interest in the people. Except how to use them for his own personal gain. He's a silver spoon idiot, handed a fortune and a business and was mentored by a thug lawyer. His upbringing was probably loveless and he learned nothing about compassion, empathy or truly caring for others. He's an empty shell with no soul. And his pillow is filled with thousand dollar bills. And when being basically shuttled into the White House by dark money, he discovered power like he's never felt before. But he's still an idiot.

@JUNKHOUSEDOG I guess they should have just, cut down all the trees. Plowed under all the houses with any wood in them and made it a desert? Trees burn. When I was a kid, a friend of mine and me, were lighting bits of moss , pulling them down and putting them out. Of a big oak tree in the middle of our neighbors vacant lot. Stupid move? Hell yes. We were dumb kids. 1. Just 1. Got away from us, and within seconds the tree was on fire. The neighbors ran over with hoses but couldn't stop it. 1 tree! The fire department came and put it out. 1 tree. No ground cover was needed. I'm 72 now and remember it like yesterday. I was 9 then. Just kids, being dumb. Trees burn. Without ground cover starting them. We used to do, controlled burns at Fort Riley Kansas. To keep down dead grass in open fields. I guess that's why. But get back from your Felon 47 propaganda crap. Field fires are kinda controllable. Trees, 50 ft tall, in 60mph winds are a nightmare.
