I so agree that, anyone,,, that needs help with health related issues from 9-11, SHOULD get everything,, they need to either get well or aid their families when they are not able to function as breadwinner or after as needed. But I know a few people receiving money that never were affected or in the area. I know I only know a few, but I'm sure there are many more making claims that don't deserve it. As with any other aid program,,, there are always many that get aid that don't deserve it. Those people detract funds from hundreds that do truly need and deserve aid. There must be strict guidelines for receiving funds,, to assure the people who truly deserve and need help,,, get it.

@txlee5513 OH sure, I totally believe Stewart is only fighting for the cause. Not concerned or even thinking about abuse of funds. But I'm sure we're all familiar with not only abuse of enormous sums of money in any form. There is always administrative overkill. And then the false or not so real claims pop in. It's unfortunate, but just as lawsuits,, it makes lawyers rich and keeps insurance higher. There is always greed where big money is involved.

@txlee5513 Heck no,,, But it's like the animal help programs, cancer relief, etc. Billions are givin in donations and government appropriations etc. Then pennies on the dollar go to the poor animals, children etc. While the rest go to seven figure administration and wealthy research people that drag their feet on any cures because the gravy train will cease to run through their back yard. No. I'm all for help programs for true needy animal's, people, children etc. I just wish the money would go right to the individuals that need it, but with enough oversight to make sure abuse does not occur.

@txlee5513 I don't know,, a billion a year is a pretty good chunk of change in my world. All I know is the lives of the people that are really sick from being in the thick of that horror are so very important. They and their families deserve all the help available. It's like soldiers from war. They come home with amputations and emotional baggage,,, they deserve all that America can offer.
