  1. I too agree people that don't need the money shouldn't get it. One, because there would be money left for another payment next month or the month after. Two , it's true, if people who just shove it in the savings and it stits there because they are well off already. I agree, the checks should be 2000, especially if there won't be any more for another 6 months. Even 2000, would not last if you are truly hurting. It's a tuff call I know,but the Republicans hsve been giving billions to the 1% for years. With no pandemic issues. Why shouldn't the government finally help out lower income decently, at a time when true need it here.
