Sorry dear, but many, many illegals get paid in cash. They're NOT registered. That's why the term, illegal. So they are paying into the pockets of big business, groceries, automobiles and the like. But not into the system that benefits us all in terms of taxes. Second. They do take jobs from people. People in the trades. Because probably 90% of them go into the trades jobs. Lowering wages for American workers that are in the trades field. And yes, there are Americans that want to work trades jobs. Carpenters, plumbers, roofers, etc. And many are totally inexperienced. No licenses, no background checks, etc. So we don't know anything about their pasts. I agree with you. The people interviewed about the benefits trump did, don't care or have any facts. Just propaganda from trump and his gang. But as for the migrants situation. You're not all together right. There are and were, many Americans, doing trades jobs, farm jobs, other hard work jobs. That lost to excessive immigration by illegal immigrants. Why? Greed of businesses to hire cheap labor. And don't think there aren't immigrants, exploiting immigrants. They bring them here. House them in overfilled houses. They give them jobs paid in cash, then take a percentage of their pay to house them etc. I see it every day in my neighborhood. Ten or more newer cars mostly trucks and vans. In a yard instead of a yard, it's parking for 15 people living in a 2 or 3 bedroom home. And it's not getting better. Thats why there IS, a border problem.

This is the problem. These people, McConnell, Kennedy, and certain other senators, are not morons. These are men that were doctors, lawyers. In their private life. Educated, usually, supposedly well minded individuals. It's like the old saying," absolute power corrupts". And as long as they stay in these positions of power, their corruption seems to grow. Never enough money. Never enough control over the people they have sworn to," serve". And it's not just the Republicons. Just check the financial worth of almost every long time politician. They're all millionaires, several times over. Why? Not because they make a lot in their government positions. But because of money from businesses they created while in office. Money from lobbyists. In the guise of campaign donations. Gifts. and other private and business sources. They only make like 200 thou a year. Yet they're all millionaires. So can we truly trust almost any of them, to truly work for the total betterment of the working stiffs of the country? It honestly makes one wonder.

And it does say something about that a Congress member cannot be subpoenaed by law enforcement or the purpose of law enforcement. But it does say a Congress member can be subpoenaed for general information. So whomever said that was maybe half right. But Jordan has 0 valid excuse for not showing up. He needs to be reprimanded. Hell, he needs to be dumped. But I don't live in Ohio.

I soooo agree. Most of us don't know the monetary figures. We hear," cuts". But don't see the figures. So, many of us will say, he's doing what needs to be done. Not realizing the biggest chunk of change is elsewhere. I think we need to see this is a ploy, to distract us from what's really happening. Looking for ways to get the Congress to justify raising the debt ceiling, to give tax cuts to the super wealthy. To make sure poor poor elon, gets more gov contracts. Adding to his wealth. Tax dollars, funding his rockets. Instead of him paying for it, out of his billions. Will we be able to recoup it, after trump is out? Doubtful.

Come on. Some of these people are college students. You don't develop empathy from college or moving to a different state. Many people at trump rallies are obviously immigrants. You don't move farther than that. And they obviously haven't learned empathy, compassion or any other emotion.

I'm no trump supporter. I'm not a Republican. And I'm not college educated. I have learned empathy through just living. I realize there are many types of people in the world. Without being college educated. Maybe it's personal with me. But I get defensive when I keep hearing from these utube analysts that trumps people are primarily non college educated dummies, that are just so stupid, because they didn't go to college . And thats why they are so easily influenced by trump. You're correct. College is further education. And hopefully leads to a more knowledgeable person. But it's not the only way to learn. No offense but African Americans weren't indigenous to North America. Even the American Indians weren't indigenous to North America. If you do enough research it's actually very interesting how the history of North Americas population began. I think it would definitely slap the faces of all these so called, Americans. @Gerryjournal I understand. I wasn't picking on the whole explanation. Just the point about indigenous America being discriminated against. All because of prejudice. As people started coming to North America. They came for different reasons. Some were colonists some were slave's, brought by the Dutch and maybe Spain to be basically laborers. I guess my point was, it's not always prejudice that made people think poorly about other races. This is why I have a little skepticism about the truth that slavery alone was the cause of the civil war. Trust me. I'm no trumpy or bigot. I just question a lot, because I realize there is bigotry from many different directions. It's not always unjustified or blind. Sometimes there are reasons why people develop animosity. And it's labeled as prejudice. That's why I tried to explain my comment but maybe got misunderstood. Just as with the border situation now. Most people accept peppered and legal immigration with no problem. But it is true, that a mass exodus from whole countries, not only puts a mass strain on resources. But does, affect our labor oriented jobs. I know for a fact, as a carpenter. So. I may develop prejudice. And I believe justifiably. And that may have been a reason for prejudice to thrive in our early history. I think this is why I may be a little sensitive to this issue.

This is an issue that's been banted about for decades. Because as is common place. There are people who don't want tax dollars going to anything that doesn't affect them. Because well to do parents, pay for private, or church schools. Yet their taxes go to public schools. And every other aspect of live, gets the same damn attack. People need to realize, we pay taxes, because we work and prosper from the work, here in the US. And once those taxes are in the gov coffers, it's not ours anymore. Because like anything else. You pay for the use of, in order to keep up repairs, maintenance, etc, for your use and others, who also pay taxes. Ya don't want to pay. Then you may forfeit your right of residence. We think other countries that have free medical or food etc don't pay for those things. Oh they do. In taxes.
