@addex1236 Yeah, and if he'd have kept his ass at home playing with himself instead of going out of his way to grab his friend's dads gun, go to a protest,,, NOONE,, would have been killed. Out of all the protesting going on,,,his was the only one that ended in killing. What he did was pure baiting. If he'd have gone there with just intentions of being a voice of anti protesters,, that would have been just fine and once again no one would have died. But no, he took his ego and a weapon meant specifically to kill and used it as a lever to create manhood, which he's definitely not. If he's got so much testosterone to fight for his country, join the military, or enroll in the police academy.

@aidk23 What I mean by, " technicalities", is, rifle barrel length, his age. They based his whole defense on that and the self defense wording. The facts of his intent, bringing a lethal weapon, to a basically understandable protest, didn't even matter.
My whole argument is, he had a choice. Go and be a simple anti protester, or go there looking for trouble. His choice was wrong. He instilled the happening. I guess we can't say what the motives were of the dead people ,, can we? And it seems poor little Kyle can say whatever he wants, cause some how, with all those horrible killer protesters out there, little Kyle has no sign of injuries. We'll see what happens in the other case where three other armed men, are also calling self defense. Guess you're all rooting for them too.

@jasonblaha6169 ?. I'm a 68 year old Vietnam vet. We despise punks like him. His,, attitude and what he did has,, nothing,,,to do with defending. I knew people like him. I say knew,,,cause most of them don't, anymore.
Rittenhouse is exactly the type of person gun laws are made for, and are more needed.

@joelellis7035 First off, I'm not, showboating,, anything I know, anymore than u just have with your speech. All I know is, he went there with intent, and started the ball rolling. He protected nothing, because he was the only one shooting. Yeah, he was in total control of the gun. I saw people killed who weren't armed either. Just because someone said, I was protecting myself. Sure, that was different, war and all. But it doesn't change the happening. Thing is, we faught so we here don't have to live in the wild west. Where everyone settles everything with a quick draw. If that crowd was so horrific, the cops should have been there. Not a bunch of 17 year old wannabes.

@joelellis7035 Sorry, but I watched about half, of the fastest talking man on the planet, and the just, if what he is saying, has no bearing on my feelings.
Where did you get any idea, that i thought this a political shooting? As for being a white supremacists, I never said anything to that either. Though maybe there's something to it, because it was a protest of yet another unarmed black person shooting by police. Hmm, say anything to you?
Anyway, my whole point is, him being totally exempt, from ANY,,, responsibility, for his actions, is horrific, and will set a precedent for other wack gun balls idiots, that it's fine to take the law,,into their own hands. Period.
But as u can see, who are the people placing Rittenhouse on a pedestal? Right wing politicains and talk hosts. So, smart guy,,, maybe ur wrong for a change about something.

@aidk23 Thanks, but I was drafted. But I did my duty to my country, reg army or not. Afterwards thinking, every man should do a few years. Because fresh out of highschool, we don't have any idea of honor to much of anything, or the true realistic fact of what war is like, and that jumping in to a situation with both feet,( Kyle Rittenhouse), can do.
Look what's happened already since. He's already becoming a right wing hero. I'm not a hero for shooting anyone i had to confront in a fight, and putting him up as one because he got off scott free, is disgusting.

@joelellis7035 Man, do you even see your comments and don't think they sound sadistic?
If Rittenhouse would have been serious about just being an anti protester and not shooting anyone, he would have been unarmed. How the hell did he think police weren't there protecting the innocent? He didn't give a crap. Common sense is a huge factor of being a responsible gun owner. Hunting rifle or not.
All your long, drawn out explanations about codes and legal regs for charging people for a crime, do nothing to explain the reason to why he just had to bring a damn assault rifle to a protest. Sounds like u envy ole Kyle. Going to action against those damned people out protesting. And no. I don't agree with violent protests, but I'll tell you. Just like with the school, or church or other nutbag shootings of innocent people. And nobody doing anything to curb gun ownership by nuts and over zealous police, pulling their guns at anything that suits them,,, violent protests seem to be the only thing that gets people's attention. But it still doesn't work. The NRA and gun sales by everyone that thinks, any minute I'll be blowing away some thug in my house or maybe a waiter at a restaurant that brings my soup late. That's what gun laws are supposed to protect against.
What he maybe should have brought to the protest was his cell phone. Then when he saw someone doing something bad, he calls the cops, or shoots a video of them doing wrong. But no,,,he wanted to be a tuff guy.
Maybe the bunch of us that see the wrong in the verdict, aren't because we are leftists, or legal scholars. But just people seeing the coming of the demise of democracy. By people taking the law into their own hands at every turn. His interview with fox clown, silver spoon Tucker C. , Showed me, he feels totally exonerated of any responsibility for what he did. Sure he said, if I had it to do again, I wouldn't have taken the gun, or gone. What else are you going to say. Ridiculous. He'll be running for a house seat in a few years. Crazy.

@aidk23 The moment he grabbed the rifle and took it to the event, he was taking the law into his hands. Hundreds of anti protesters were there, to Speak their opinion to the protesters. How many of them whipped out their assault rifles and waved them in offensive manors? 0,,, I believe. If you want our country to become the old wild west again, just keep defending people like Rittenhouse. Where every road rage incident turns into a shootout. All claiming self defense. I'm 68 years old, never owned a personal firearm. I've lived in mid to lower income neighborhoods, still do. We've had some protests, especially after the George Floyd happening. The police handled them, as needed. No reason for vigilante law. Thats exactly what Rittenhouse was. His story doesn't jive enough, but my bottom line is, if anyone didn't belong there, it was him. Just listen to his performance with dirt bag Carlson. Couldn't stomach more than 5 minutes. But he thought he was Rambo , my opinion still. If he wants action, join the military. When hes old enough, become a cop. Don't play hero, when your not.
PS, Your very correct about the right to defend yourself. But you don't have the right to create the scenario, then say, I was just defending myself.
