Exactly. Our founders were for the opposite, of the British rule. That is overseen by the church. That was one of the basic ideals of the independence of the United States. @singinmketer I have read many articles on the first amendment and the freedom of religion portion. There are so many... opinions? , Of it's true meaning, because there was much difference of thought when it was written. So many people take it to mean several things. I guess my interpretation has always been linked to our founders desire to not have religion involved in government and vice versa. And that basically came from our independence from English rule and their intermingling of the church involvement in their governmental policies. I do know the exact wording. But also that over the years we've placed a kinda variation in its meaning. And I guess that's why I fight the exactness of how it's worded. Eye of the beholder kinda thing.
