@rageoid An interesting idea but not the way the constitution works. If a president is allowed to choose a congress, then the oversight is lost. Like in the way Trump had it for his first two years. We the people are responsible for electing and dumping our congressmen and women. When only 60 % of people vote each election, it shows how much we don't care whats going on in Washington. It's our fault when we don't keep watch of all our reps and senator's and all our government. But we're too busy with our lives, understandably, to check out our reps before we vote. I'm just as bad . But if we want better government leaders we have to get involved just a bit more. We can't gripe and not be somewhat responsible ourselves. No president or congressmen are goin please everyone. Cause we're, all different. Look at McConnell. He's not really liked by the biggest chunk of his constitutes in Kentucky, but he's managed to win reelection since the 80s I think. He definitely needs to have been gone years ago. Something is fishy there. Anyway the government is set up the way it is for a good reason. But you're right that something should be revised or adjusted. It is a new world. Millions more people to govern and to consider.

Problem is there is huge money behind the Republican party. I believe more goes one behind elections than we'll ever know. As well as things that happen in government. Yeah, that may be a bit conspiratorial in the scheme of things. But how else do we explain some of our presidents. Especially this one

@rageoid Merry Christmas to you and your family too Dan. We're just complacent where politics is concerned. We vote every so often, then we go back to our lives and for most of us, do what we can just to stay ahead of the bill collector. It's not our faults but we do need to read the backgrounds of the candidates thoroughly before xing in their names to see where they stand on stuff. That usually gives us a minimum to vote for them. But honestly, with gerrymandering, voter restrictions, etc the Republicans play on us, it's a miracle we took the house in '18. None of this would have happened if we hadn't. Trump would do whatever he wants and the Republicans would have sat silent. For 1 I'm glad they did. Trump definitely needs to be watched like a hawk. And honestly he should be dumped. He's truly not good for the country. Take care.

Open flagrant behavior is the new norm with dump in the WH. Then I remember back when McConnell bragged, in open q&a, that it would be his pleasure to make sure Obama was a one term president.. He's always been a disgusting slob. He must have been one of those kids in school that was the most picked on. And now he's getting back at the working class. The kids that picked on him.

@susanfleming1209 Every Democrat should write a note to them or maybe the newspapers telling them that the Majority of us want them to do their jobs or get the hell out of the office. I'm so grateful to hear there are marches going on for pro impeachment. Sick of seeing Trumps rallies and his brain dead crowd behind him applauding every point he makes. Disgusting and sickening.
