But the mesh would have sure saved the life of the person in your video where a luggage loader or maintenance person got sucked into the engine. I have to figure the mesh idea has been thought about since the development of jet engines. Also, with a mesh screen, one bird may not do much to slow intake, but a flock certainly may. I remember in a couple of your video's, a multiple bird strike did create issues with the operation of an engine, to the point of shut down. It seems the idea of a screen is kinda a catch 22.
