The New York Times does not have Trump's taxes. It is impossible.

@nosuchthing8 There are two possibilities: 1) If the New York Times DOES have Trump's taxes, they obtained them illegally, violating his 4th Amendment rights ("illegal search and seizure"). 2) If the New York Times DOES NOT ave Trump's taxes, then the story itself is fake, and Trump can sue for libel. (Actually, he can sue anyway, because "tax avoidance" is legal, but the NYT made it sound like a "crime.")

@nosuchthing8 Apples and oranges. The Pentagon Papers concerned the military; Trump's taxes are the private property of a private citizen. Either way, however, the NYT broke the law. They had no right to obtain either document.

@nosuchthing8 There is no law anywhere that actually says any President must release his taxes. It's more of a "tradition," but not a law. The NYT has no legal authority or right to obtain the tax forms of any candidate. "Thou shalt not bear false witness" (9th Commandment). You are a liar, and you shall answer to the Lord Jesus Christ on Judgment Day (Revelation 21:8, KJV). Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Establish the Kingdom in Jerusalem, and keep the world safe from Democracy!
